Inspired by the Founder’s experiences both professional and personal in facing adversity and recognizing the power of humanity, POP HR Forward (PHF) came to fruition. 

We are on a mission to bring humanity back to the forefront, to progressively and positively impact the people operations success (your employees’ experience + productivity) in as many organizations as possible.

We are hyper-focused on improving the culture, communication and effectiveness within organizations by identifying core structural barriers and redesigning frameworks that are built for your people to succeed and align with your business goals.

We care deeply about bridging gaps and breaking barriers, like our name “POP” signifies - we are both your People & Operations Partner (POP) and the impact we create within your organization, as we move it forward.

PHF is driven by the vision of its Founder and CEO, Candice Rubins, an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in Hospitality and more than a decade in Human Resources. Her passion lies in empowering people—whether they are employees, employers, contractors, customers, or guests—and making meaningful contributions in both business and everyday life. She believes that every day presents an opportunity to create impact and help others move closer to their goals.

Candice’s leadership is defined by a commitment to People, Purpose, Process, and Solutions.

Her journey into leadership was fueled by a desire to play a more significant role in shaping organizational culture and driving impact. Starting in Hospitality (2002-Present) and progressing into Operations Management (2011-2017), she gradually transitioned into a focus on Human Resources and People Operations (2015-Present), where she found her calling. 

Over the years, Candice has built a dynamic HR career, moving from in-house roles in New York City and Los Angeles to offering contract-based remote HR and People Operations services to diverse clients around the globe. Her expertise spans organizations of 5 to 500 employees, operating across multiple U.S. states, and recently expanding to Italy, where she currently resides part-time.

As CEO, Candice finds the most fulfillment in creating meaningful partnerships and driving impactful change, both within PHF and for the clients she serves.

Always thinking forward and excited for her company’s evolution, she welcomes new connections, clients, and contractors of interest to book an introduction call. As well, for all PHF partners to share their constructive feedback as often as possible to help be a part of the evolution - because really, we are all here to move forward, and we all need the right direction to get there.
